An Alcossebre break with friends works best when everything is close together: Las Fuentes beach, the restaurants on the promenade, Kalymnos nightclub by the marina and an apartment you can walk back to. That way nobody needs to drive all night. Flying in? Castellón, Valencia, Reus and Barcelona airports all serve this stretch of the Spanish coast.
By day: Las Fuentes beach
Las Fuentes beach has around 400 m of fine sand, lifeguards, showers and equipment hire. Freshwater springs bubble up right in the sand. If you fancy something more active, Alcossebre has diving, kayaking and paddleboarding companies, and boat trips to the Columbretes Islands leave from the marina.
Before you go out: dinner by the sea
Before heading to Kalymnos, the easiest thing is to eat in the same area. On the Las Fuentes promenade, next to the marina entrance, you'll find El Náutico restaurant, specialising in rice dishes and fish, in a 1960s building overlooking the beach. You'll find more about it in this guide to the Club Náutico Las Fuentes restaurant. From there it's a short walk to the club.
The night: Kalymnos
Kalymnos is right on Las Fuentes beach, on the seafront promenade next to the marina entrance. It opens on New Year's Eve, at Easter and in summer. Before you finalise your plans, check its Instagram to make sure it's open that day and how tickets work.
Where to stay with friends on a budget
For a group of friends, a shared apartment works out cheaper than several hotel rooms and gives you a kitchen, terrace and pool. Casa Azahar, the local agency, has two options that suit this plan nicely:

Arcos II, next to Las Fuentes beach
The Arcos II apartments are studios for up to 4 people a short walk from Las Fuentes beach, with the marina around 250 m away. They have an adult pool and a children's pool, and the grounds are fenced. It's the closest option to Kalymnos for walking home. If you'd like to compare them with Arcos I, in the same area, see the guide to the Arcos apartments in Alcossebre.
Mare Nostrum, for large groups in the centre
If there are more of you, the Mare Nostrum building has three-bedroom apartments for 8 people, in the town centre and two minutes from Cargador beach. It has a lift, a shared pool and a sun terrace. From here you're close to the bars and restaurants of the Cargador; Las Fuentes is a walk along the coast or a short taxi ride away.

Bear in mind that pets aren't allowed in Casa Azahar apartments, and it's worth booking well ahead for Easter and August, when Alcossebre is full.
