Kalymnos nightclub opens on New Year's Eve, at Easter and in summer, the three times of year when Alcossebre fills up with young people. It isn't open all year, so before you go it's worth checking its social media to make sure there's a party that night.
New Year's Eve at Kalymnos
Kalymnos opens on New Year's Eve to see out the year by the sea, on the Las Fuentes promenade. It's a great excuse to spend New Year in Alcossebre with your group: the coast is quiet in winter, with average temperatures of around 11 °C, and lots of families and groups of friends rent an apartment over those days.
Party details (times, tickets and what's included) are posted on the club's social media as the date approaches.
Easter
Easter (Semana Santa) is the first big weekend of the year in Alcossebre: the town fills up with visitors and Kalymnos opens again. As Easter falls on a different date every year, between March and April, check its social media to see which nights it's open.
Summer
Summer is Kalymnos's peak season. It's when Alcossebre is at its busiest and when most night-time plans coincide: nights on the beach, a packed seafront promenade, St John's Eve (Noche de San Juan) in June and the San Juan Bautista patron saint fiestas in late August and early September. Before you head out
- Sort out your way home. If you're drinking, leave the car: walk from your apartment or share a taxi.
