If you're wondering about things to do in Alcossebre at night, the answer depends on when you come. In summer, the town lives outdoors: seafront promenade, terraces, the evening market, fiestas and Kalymnos nightclub. The rest of the year is much quieter, with peaks at Easter and on New Year's Eve. Alcossebre is the seaside part of Alcalà de Xivert (Castellón, Spain), and many fiestas are celebrated in both places.
Things to do in Alcossebre at night
These are the most popular night-time plans, from the most relaxed to the liveliest:
- Watch the sunset. Alcossebre lighthouse, at Cala Blanca, and the Serra d'Irta coastline are great spots to watch the sun go down.
- Stroll along the seafront promenade. The Las Fuentes promenade runs to the marina, and the Cargador promenade runs along the town's main beach. Between the Cargador and Romana beach there's a wooden boardwalk by the sea, the Senda Litoral.
- Dinner by the sea. On the Las Fuentes promenade, next to the marina, there are restaurants with sea views, such as the two venues at the Club Náutico Las Fuentes, and the Cargador promenade has another area of bars and restaurants.
- The Tuesday market. From May to October, the Alcossebre market is set up on Tuesday evenings on the Camí l'Atall, near the seafront promenade.
- Go clubbing. Kalymnos nightclub is on the Las Fuentes seafront promenade, next to the marina entrance. It opens on New Year's Eve, at Easter and in summer; see when it's open.

San Juan Bautista patron saint fiestas
The San Juan Bautista patron saint fiestas are the main fiestas in the municipality. They're held between late August and early September, in Alcalà de Xivert and in Alcossebre, and coincide with the end of summer, when lots of people are still on holiday. It's the best time of year to come with friends if you're after a lively atmosphere.
Each year's programme (events, live bands, times) is published by the Town Council as the dates approach. If you're looking for this year's Alcossebre fiestas, check the fiestas page on the Alcossebre tourism website and the Town Council's social media. It's also covered in the alcocebre.biz fiestas guide, with more night-time plans in its Alcossebre by night section.
St John's Eve
St John's Eve (Noche de San Juan), in June, kicks off the summer in Alcossebre. Sant Benet is also celebrated in June. St John's Eve is a night to spend by the sea with friends, as along much of the Mediterranean coast. If you're coming that weekend, check the Town Council's rules on bonfires and beach use first, as they can change every year.
Carnival, Easter and New Year's Eve
Outside summer there are three times with a buzz:
- Carnival, in February, is celebrated in Alcalà and in Alcossebre.
- Easter is the first big getaway of the year: the town fills up and Kalymnos opens.
- New Year's Eve: Kalymnos opens to see out the year on the Las Fuentes promenade.

Tips for a night out in Alcossebre
- Get around on foot. Alcossebre is small (around 2,000 residents year-round) and the nightlife areas are by the sea: Las Fuentes and the marina to the north, and the Cargador in the centre.
- Don't drive if you're drinking. Sort out your way home before you go out.
- Respect people's rest. Many apartments are in residential areas with families: keep the noise down on the way back.
- Look after the beach. Alcossebre's beaches hold quality awards, and four of them have Blue Flag status in 2026.
If you're coming with your group, the full plan with friends tells you where to eat beforehand and where to stay on a budget. And if it's your first time, start with Kalymnos nightclub.
